Description

DC K.O.: Harley Quinn vs. Zatanna #1 brings two wildly different personalities together for a brutal tournament battle. Released in December 2025, this one shot is part of the larger DC K.O. event and its All Fight Month lineup.

Leah Williams writes the story, while Mirka Andolfo provides the interior artwork. Romulo Fajardo Jr. handles the colors, with Steve Wands providing the lettering. The main cover shown here features art by Jorge Corona with colors by Sarah Stern.

Harley Quinn and Zatanna enter the Heart of Apokolips knowing only one fighter can advance. Their contest is fought across three rounds, with victory requiring two wins. Harley quickly realizes that facing Zatanna at full magical strength would put her at a serious disadvantage.

Harley responds in classic fashion. Instead of waiting for a fair opening, she attacks Zatanna’s throat and disrupts her ability to cast spells. The tactic gives Harley an early edge and sets the tone for the increasingly personal fight.

Zatanna approaches the second round differently. She attempts to prove that she can defeat Harley without relying on offensive magic. The resulting combat becomes far more physical, with both characters enduring a vicious exchange. Zatanna takes the round and forces the contest into a final confrontation.

The last round becomes much more than a simple tournament match. Harley gains access to magic and pushes Zatanna emotionally as well as physically. She understands that Zatanna will need greater determination if she hopes to survive what comes next in the larger competition.

Harley eventually provokes Zatanna into unleashing the level of force needed to end the battle. Zatanna delivers the fatal strike and advances. Harley’s defeat is not presented as meaningless, however. Her actions help force Zatanna to confront how far she may need to go against the threats surrounding the tournament.

The issue also includes a short Watchtower sequence involving Booster Gold and Gorilla Grodd. Darkseid’s influence over Booster continues to connect this one shot with events unfolding beyond Harley and Zatanna’s arena.

Collectors also get a striking main cover from Jorge Corona. Harley swings into action above Zatanna while the glowing background makes both characters immediately stand out. The design captures the playful energy of Harley while still advertising the conflict at the center of the issue.

For Harley Quinn and Zatanna collectors, this issue offers a direct confrontation between two popular characters who rarely receive an entire comic devoted to fighting each other. It also serves as Round Five of All Fight Month and provides another piece of the larger DC K.O. storyline. The combination of Leah Williams, Mirka Andolfo, Jorge Corona, and two recognizable leads gives the issue plenty of modern collector appeal.
